Talk first; write last! – You'll be amazed at the results of talking to your employees. You need to work out what the video is about firstly, then note down a load of questions you can ask your employees. Once you've talked to your employees you can start writing a script. Keep it simple and make sure your interviews are transcribed onto paper and choose your favorite answers.
Always capture more video than you need – During on-camera videos, instead of asking a small selection of questions, ask lots and obviously keep the camera rolling. It can be good to go off at tangents as well, as you may capture something that could be used for viral video campaigns, a marketing slogan, or an audio podcast.
Keep it short – We have short attention spans. It's a fact, and especially when it comes to visuals. Our brains have a perfectly attuned filtering system that kicks in after a minute or so. Based on that corporate video production usually lasts between 2-3 minutes.
